This project was an introduction to illustration and printing and its multiple functions in Editorial, magazine, book covers and everything is possible to create throughout the illustration.
Having said that, our task was to realise a combination of linocut illustrations, shapes and letterpress type to explore a narrative of our choice.
In this project I realised a simple image with few elements.
Sincerely I would like to have more shapes to use and less limits to follow. It was the worse project I've done because the result not reflect at all my idea of this technique.
Furthermore, we had not many colours to use and despite my "difficulty" to use colour scale I would like to have bright colours in my illustrations because of the type of my illustration, indicated for a "child public".
I used the letterpress type like real objects and disposed in a good composition creating a landscape where the “A” became mountains, the “O” a balloon (red colour).
The lino was a great discovery for me, but needs more practise for a very good result.
Anyway, through this technique I had the possibility to create simple and clear (and dirty too) images (black colour).
